About Us

Background :

Human Development Forum (HDF) is a non-political, non-profit and non-government voluntary development organization formed through the initiatives of a few committed and dedicated social workers and philanthropists. Human Development Forum (HDF) was established in 2000 with the aim of promoting human and socio-economic development for underprivileged people living in rural areas.

To achieve this aim, we organize rural people who are living in poverty to improve their livelihood. This organization was initiated by some like-minded development patrons for the upliftment of the socio-economic conditions of rural and urban communities, as well as the dissemination of information on development.

The philosophy of the organization is based on the conviction that the paramount need of men, women and children, both urban and rural, is not relief but release from the prison of poverty. Its main focus is to promote the socio-economic conditions of the underprivileged, destitute, landless and economically poor people, especially women, through organization, education, training, participation and joint activities.

Vision :

Human Development Forum (HDF) dreams of a society where, without any discrimination or division based on sex, caste or color, people will enjoy full dignity and will be able to participate in the mainstream development process for sustainability and empowerment.

Goals :

The goal of Human Development Forum (HDF) is to improve the socio-economic status of disadvantaged people. Its purpose is to promote the socio-economic status of underprivileged men, women and children, both in urban and rural areas, through motivation, people’s organization, non-formal education, training and mobilizing available resources such as manpower, water and soil.

To achieve these aims, Human Development Forum (HDF) focuses on two fundamental, interrelated objectives: alleviation of poverty and empowerment of powerless people.

Missions :

Human Development Forum (HDF) works with people whose lives are dominated by extreme poverty, illiteracy, disease and disabilities.
